  • Exploring the inner bounds of New York City can be an exhilarating experience in and of itself, but if you want to make a pause in the name of culture, then be sure to check out the New York Public Library. Founded in 1895, it is officially a private, non-governmental, independently run, non-profit organisation. Harbouring more than 53 million items, it has extensions in Manhattan, The Bronx, and Staten Island as well (alright, we’ll admit – it has a total of 87 branches). Visited by more than 18 million people per annum, it is the second-largest library in the United States and fourth-largest in the entire world. It is never too late to become a bookworm (triple wink)!
