  • Quite a name for a building, eh? Well, the Red House located in the town of Bexleyheath, Southeast London, is one of the most spectacular Arts and Crafts structures in the United Kingdom. Essentially a co-production between the master architect Philip Webb and the designer William Morris, it is listed as a Grade I building within the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. Completed in 1860, it was meant to serve as the home of Mr Morris. Oh, and if the rarer architectural style isn’t enough for you to want to visit it, keep in mind that the Pre-Raphaelite painters Edward Burne-Jones and Dante Gabriel Rossetti have also visited the place. Does that strike an artistic chord anywhere (wink)?
