  • Not an outstanding swimmer? No problem, for Ölüdeniz Beach of Turkey has you covered. Its calm waters have become so renowned that if we were to translate the name of the bay itself, it would sound something along the lines of “Dead Sea Bay” or “Dead Sea Beach”. Located in the Fethiye district of the Muğla Province, along the Turquoise Coast, it has earned a Blue Flag distinction without problems. Called the Blue Lagoon (ah, the sweet 80s reference), it is a pebble beach by definition but that doesn’t make it any less remarkable than other hotspots along the Turkish Riviera. Due to the fact that it is a national nature reserve, it stands somewhat untouched by man – construction there is strictly prohibited (an advantage, if you ask the introverts). Want to escape the buzz of everyday life? You can now!
