  • There is more to the Asturias than the alluring Mediterranean climate. Hitting the town of Oviedo, a town of over 200,000 people, and its exquisite “Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias” has just become another beacon of light for you to explore. Founded in 1980, the establishment has a modest yet significant inventory of 10,000 art pieces. To boost its re-visitability, it only shows about 350-400 items at any given time. Most works displayed pertain to Asturian artists but there are some from Flemish-born and Italian masters as well (such as the renowned Umberto Pettinicchio). Furthermore, there is a small permanent collection of items as well that includes sculptures, glass objects and, of course, earthenware.
