  • Reaching back into history as far as Baroque times, Oradea’s Episcopal Palace (Transylvania, Romania) is one of the most valuable edifices of its parent country. Built between 1762 and 1777 to adhere to the subtle standards of the Baroque architectural style, it was designed by master architect Franz Anton Hillebrandt. Along with the Cathedral Basilica of St. Mary and the “Șirul Canonicilor”, it is part of one of the most renowned Baroque representations of Europe. What this means is that the palace is a point of reference (a standard) when it comes to the European Baroque.
