  • Are you a photography buff? Good, because today we have just the thing for you! Sitting deep within the inner bounds of the Medina district of the city of Marrakech (the oldest part of the city), the Photography Museum of Marrakech is one of the most important cultural establishments in the country. Housing photographs from as far back as 1870 to 1950, it has just put on itself on the world map indefinitely. Opened in April 2009 and harboured by a renovated funduq (an inn for merchants and travellers), it was commissioned by Patrick Manac’h and Hamid Mergani so that local photographers could expose their works to the public (hence the national cultural significance). With more than 4,500 magnum opuses decorating its halls, this one is a definite must-explore!
