  • Have you ever visited the Japanese city of Nara? Well, if you haven’t, then this is the time, for its Nara National Museum is quite an awe-inspirer. Founded in the year 1889 under the name “Imperial Nara Museum”, it hosted its first exhibition in 1895. Boasting a great number of sensational items pertaining to Buddhism (sculptures, altar articles, and images), the museum is in close connection with the collection of the Shōsōin repository, exhibiting it annually. Its Original Museum Building; the Lower Level Passageway; the East and West Wings; the Buddhist Art Library; the Conservation Center; and the Hassoan are all other brilliant sights to bask in there.
